2008 was certainly the year of the “open web”. OpenID, OAuth, Portable Contacts and Open Social all gained momentum and Yahoo!, Google, MySpace and Facebook are now on board. I think it’s safe to say 2008 moved quickly and 2009 is showing no sign of slowing down.
As the year comes to an end we’d like to thank everyone who’s contributed to moving forward the open web, for their tireless work defining, refining, implementing and promoting open standards. We’d also like to thank our fantastic community of beta users and developers. Your feedback has been invaluable and we look forward to working with each of you over the coming months as we prepare for our initial release!
