We’ve been talking about it for a quite while but it’s finally here. Cliqset 2.0 is live!
What’s it in it? A lot. We’ve completely redesigned the UI, built deeper integration with the most popular social services and made it much easier to share, discover and discuss with your friends and family around the web.
Let’s start with Twitter. Twitter is now fully integrated into the Cliqset experience. What does that mean? It means when you add Twitter to your Cliqset account all of content you’d normally receive in Twitter will flow into Cliqset in an elegant and enhanced way. DMs, replies, mentions, even Twitter search! You can interact with your Twitter friends just as you would with any other Cliqset user. And when they inevitably join Cliqset, we’ll automatically follow them here too. Instead of just their tweets, you’ll see their Posterous posts, Flickr photos, YouTube favorites all in a rich way 140 characters could never do.
We’ve also added a slick curation feature. You can now create curated streams of content from Twitter and any of the other 80+ social sites we’ve
integrated. Other users can subscribe to these streams from your profile page. When you see something in a stream you want to curate, just click the ‘Save to’ option and select the curation stream you’d like to save it to. It’ll be immediately send to your subscribers in real-time.
You’ll also want to check out the Explore page on Cliqset. From there you can search for and subscribe to users and groups not only on Cliqset but also on Twitter and Google Buzz. Don’t worry about whether they’ve joined Cliqset yet, when you follow them, what they do on that service will automatically appear in your stream on Cliqset, just like any other user.
There’s a ton of going on in Cliqset 2.0, but we’ll leave it to you to check out for yourself. If you haven’t already signed up, what are you waiting for?
